Our frames are designed to fit children ages from 1 to 9 years. Younger children need a frame designed with lower nasal and side fittings. This is seen in our 2808 model. These cute frames feature adjustable soft curl tips and soft silicone bridges. Essential in placing the optical lens in the perfect position to look after the developing eye.

Our adjustable bridge fittings are perfectly shaped to the contours of the nose and are designed to fit close to the frames inner rim. The wearer benefits from an increased field of view with reduced 'gazing over the top rim'. This better fit design has an optical benefit too, the higher power prescription lenses will not need compensating in power because the distance from the eye to the back vertex of the prescription lens has not increased when compared to a regular molded plastics frame.

Our frames change as they increase in size, just like children. The 2808 model overlaps in size with our two larger models. This is to help the transition to new shapes and styles for the wearer. The 2801 has sharper angles and a rectangular eye shape look. The 2806 model develops the soft curves of the earlier model with a more grown appeal. Both frames feature the height adjustable bridge and adjustable soft curl tips of the 2808 model.

All frames are supplied with a matching and adjustable headband.

Eye Health

Correctly fitted eyewear is essential to eye health. Typically young people spend more time gazing up than adults. Our eyewear is designed to accommodate this fitting need.

New research from the Global Myopia Awareness Coalition (GMAC) has revealed a decline in the amount of time children spend outdoors, which could be impacting their eye health. The study discovered that 76 extra minutes outside a day can reduce the risk of short-sightedness (myopia) by 50%.

Colour and Materials

Colour is important and we celebrate it by looking after it. Our frames have a beautiful clarity, sparkle and shine. This is not a coating or finish, it’s the material. We use a superior polyamide to create colour with a glass like appearance. Our 2024 collections have the familiar beauty of stained glass.

The material offers more than just great looks, it is very tough and resistant to heat and cleaning solutions. Your eyewear will not dull or break after using cleaning solutions and it will not fail with rapid expansions or contractions resulting from sudden temperature change.

Supply Chain

Children's eyewear does not need to be expensive. We have sourced superior materials and made our savings in the supply chain, not in the quality of frames.

Where possible, our eyewear is shipped by seaport in shared containers, stored at collaborative sites and distributed by existing networks.

From our supply chain to our EPC A carbon net zero office at Exeter Science Park, we have the environmental impact of our business at heart.

Our storage facilities do not require additional energy usage as we make use of shared space.

We are targeting single use plastic free trading and are nearly there. If we use plastics, it’s because of their pre-existence in the supply chain or a specific need to deliver items safely. We kindly ask, where possible packaging is reused and recycled responsibly at end of life.

Our 2024 collections are all packaged in plastic free, card drawer boxes. These are lovingly designed cases for iPlay frames, featuring fun park scenes and outdoor activities. These cases can be recycled at end of life. If you would like to look at some stronger cases for your frames, please contact our agent as they have a fantastic range waiting for you.

For optical professionals, we have a full range of spares and repairs items available on request. All parts are subject to availability, fair usage and postal charge. Speak with our agent to confirm the terms of supply.

The ‘iPlay Bespoke’, service is available from our agent, just request the form. Frames supplied under this service will be customised and adjusted per instructions by our workshop partners, Spec-Care Ltd - normally dispatched within 3 working days of order. This is a free service and is helpful in reducing stock items for colour swap requests and special facial characteristics adjustments.
